Originally from Ghana, he spent many years in the UK before settling in the US. He lives in Texas with his wife Mercy.

Dr. Peter Breggin, MD
Peter R. Breggin is called “The Conscience of Psychiatry” for his many decades of successful efforts to reform the mental health field. Dr. Breggin has authored more than 50 scientific articles and more than twenty books including Toxic Psychiatry, The Ritalin Fact Book, and The Antidepressant Fact Book. He is also the author of Medication Madness: The Role of Psychiatric Drugs in Cases of Violence, Suicide and Crime; and Psychiatric Drug Withdrawal: a Guide for Prescribers, Therapists, Patients and Their Families. Dr. Breggin graduated from Harvard College and after medical school received his psychiatric training at Harvard and at the State University of New York Upstate Medical Center in Syracuse. He has been a fulltime consultant at the National Institute of Mental Health (NIMH) while an officer in the U.S. Public Health Service (USPHS). He has taught at many universities, including the Counseling Department at Johns Hopkins. He has been invited to address congressional committees on topics including education and veterans affairs, as well as to speak before federal agencies. He has been an expert featured on innumerable TV shows, from many times on Oprah and Larry King Live to appearances on 20/20, 60 Minutes, Nightline, and several times on the Fox News Channel, including Hannity.
Dr. Avery Jackson, M.D, Neurosurgeon
Chief Executive Officer and Medical Director of Michigan Neurosurgical Institute, P.C. a board-certified neurosurgeon, Dr. Jackson has extensive training and experience in complex spinal cases, brain and spinal tumors, head and spine trauma, as well as minimally invasive procedures such as vertebroplasty and kyphoplasty to relieve pain. Dr. Jackson also participates in clinical trials of the latest neurosurgical treatments and techniques, frequently writes and speaks to medical audiences on neurosurgical topics, and holds several patents for medical inventions.
Dr. David Levy, M.D, Neurosurgeon
Dr. David Levy is a neurosurgeon. He attended medical school at Emory University in Atlanta, Georgia, and obtained his neurosurgical training at the Barrow Neurological Institute in Phoenix, Arizona. He did a fellowship in endovascular neurosurgery at the University of Vienna, Austria.
Dr. Levy has published numerous scientific articles in the neurosurgical literature and wrote the book Gray Matter. Dr. Levy has been the recipient of the Best Doctor Award in 2007 – 2014 and America’s Top Surgeons Award 2015-2016. His pastimes include caring for the poor and less fortunate around the world. He has performed neurosurgery in Kenya and The Congo.

Dr. Christy Walker, M.D

Dr. Walker received her undergraduate degree in biology with minor in chemistry from the University of Arkansas at Pine Bluff. There, she graduated summa cum laude and was a recipient of the Chancellors Medallion, an award given to graduates with the highest grade point average in their academic school. Dr. Walker then went on to receive her Doctorate of Medicine. She completed her residency training at the University of Arkansas for Medical Sciences. Dr. Walker served as a member of the University of Arkansas for Medical Sciences teaching faculty and clinical in-structor, and as Medical Director of Walker Healthcare for Women and Santé Bien Medspa. Dr. Mark Mayfield, PhD, Licensed Professional Counselor
Dr. Mayfield is founder and CEO of Mayfield Counseling Centers in Colorado Springs, Colorado, which serves over 15,000 appointments a year. He conducts therapy with families, couples, individuals, and groups and has a passion to provide exceptional care for military service members and their families. He is a contributing author to Focus on the Family's Marriage and Parenting divisions and has recently completed a book for parents on self-injury and suicide. It will be published within the next year. Dr. Mayfield is also an Assistant Professor of Counseling at Colorado Christian University and hosts a weekly podcast called Candid Conversations with Dr. Mayfield.

Dr. Ben Edwards
Ben Edwards is the founder and CEO of Veritas Medical, an integrative primary care clinic with offices in Lubbock, Abilene and San Angelo, Texas. Dr. Edwards obtained his undergraduate degree from Baylor University and his doctorate of medicine from the University of Texas-Houston Medical School. He then completed his internship and family practice residency training in Waco, TX at the McLennan County Medical Education and Research Foundation where he was chief resident. As the only physician in the county at Garza County Health Clinic in Post, Texas, Dr. Edwards was featured in Texas Monthly and the front page of the Washington Post because of his success in operating a rural medical practice. Dr. Darlene Mayo, M.D, Neurosurgeon
Dr. Darlene A. Mayo is a board certified neurosurgeon and a neuroscientist. She received her undergraduate degree from Duke University and completed her medical training and residency at the Medical College of Georgia. She is fellowship trained in neurosurgery at Emory, and completed two biomedical engineering fellowships at Clinatec, in France, with Dr. Alim-Louis Benabid, and at Mayo Clinic in Rochester, Minnesota. She performed surgery for 10 years, most recently at the Cleveland Clinic, and has been studying chemicals and electrical activity in the brain for over 18 years, having conducted a number of scientific research studies.

Dr. Robertson is a practicing OB/GYN. During her residency, she served as Chief Resident at Baylor. After residency, she established her private practice, Women’s Healthcare, Inc., Lake Jackson, TX, where she practiced for over 20 years. As a staff physician at Brazosport Regional Hospital, Dr. Robertson held several titles, including Chair of the Maternal Neonatal Department and Chief of Medical Staff.

Lori Volkman, JD, Attorney at Law and CEO, Trajectory Communications

The Honorable Shelyna V. Brown is a sought-after presenter, panelist, and trainer with over two decades of experience in the legal and leadership arenas. Upon graduating from law school, Judge Brown served as a public defender fighting for all those who did not traditionally have a voice—the low income, the immigrant, those suffering from mental health challenges, anyone who did not have access to their constitutional right of appropriate representation. She argued several high-profile cases that were noted in the media and written about in local and regional publications. In 2011, California Governor Jerry Brown appointed Shelyna V. Brown to the bench in Santa Clara County. Judge Brown has served on several boards and has been recognized for her excellence in advocacy and praised for her contributions to the community. She was awarded numerous honors and accolades, including Excellence in Advocacy from the 100 Black Women of Silicon Valley, the Ivy Rose Foundation named her the first recipient of the Distinguished Women of Silicon Valley Awards, and the Silicon Valley Business Journal listed her as one of the 100 Women of Influence. Judge Brown was honored by the Silicon Valley NAACP with the Wester Sweet Award for Legal Activism, she is the most recent recipient of the Santa Clara Law School Social Justice and Human Rights Award, and she received a Congressional Commendation from Congresswoman Zoe Lofgren. Judge Brown received her bachelor of arts from University of California, Davis and her juris doctorate from Santa Clara University, School of Law where she is a well-known figure and frequent speaker and guest lecturer.
